Daily regimen (Dinacharya)

Most commonly used phrase in today's world is , Make Every Day Count, indicating how each day is valuable for each one of us. There are many systems in the world prescribing how we should lead our day. In Ayurveda, it is called Dinacharya or regimen to be followed for the day. Here are some important activities that help us to start a fruitful day based on Ayurveda treaties. Waking up : Wake up at Bramhi Muhurta (90 min before sunrise) to start the day. Brahma Muhurta or time of Higher energy is a period of 1 hour and 36 minutes before sunrise called as "The Creator's Hour".Activities performed early in the morning have a greater effect than in any other part of the day. Each muhurta lasts 48 minutes, and therefore the Brahma muhurta begins 1 hour and 36 minutes before sunrise and ends 48 minutes before sunrise. It is important to follow the body’s natural inclination to respond to the seasons by adapting our diet and activities. As the days lengthen in Spring, you may have noticed being more cheerful and lively. The urge to exercise and reconnect with nature is generally more, like working in the garden or by spending time outside in the sunshine. Emotional Strength and Stress

When you get stressed or get panicked about anything, the body’s abilities to cope reduces. It causes your body to produce greater levels of stress hormones called ‘Cortisol’ to boost immunity and reduce inflammation. Greater levels of cortisol in the blood opens the door for more inflammation. During stress, the body’s lymphocytes (type of WBC) which help to fight the infection gets reduced. The lower the lymphocyte level, the more risk you are for the viruses. High stress levels can also cause depression and anxiety, again leading to higher levels of inflammation. In the long-term, sustained, high levels of inflammation point to an overworked, over-tired immune system can’t properly protect the body. Food & Nutrition for increasing your immunity

Drink lots of fresh juices. Ensure that you eat fresh, warm and nutritious food that are easy to digest with seasonal vegetables and whole cereals. Avoid frozen, cold and heavy food. Drink warm water. Virus gets less active in hot temperature. Avoid cold water or cold beverages. Take natural immune-boosting fresh juice. Indian Gooseberry juice (Amla) 50 ml, Ginger 10 ml, Fresh Lime juice 5ml, Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp and drinking water 200ml. Mix these ingredients in plain warm water and drink directly (Dosage: Adult: 250 ml Children: 100 ml twice daily). Natural immune boosting hot drink: Turmeric powder 1/4th tsp and drinking water 250 ml. Boil it till the raw smell vanishes. Strain and drink hot. Instructions for the family members of persons being home quarantined

1). Only an assigned family member should be tasked with taking care of the such person.  2). Wash clothes in warm water, avoid shaking the soiled linen or direct contact with skin.  3). Use disposable gloves when cleaning the surfaces or handling soiled linen. Wash hands after removing gloves.  4). Avoid visitors at home. 5). In case the person being quarantined becomes symptomatic, all his/her close contacts will be home quarantined for 14 days and followed up for an additional 14 days or till the report of such case turns out negative on lab testing environmental sanitation. 5a.) Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces in the quarantined person’s room (e.g. bed frames, tables etc.) daily with 1% Sodium Hypochlorite Solution.  5b.)
